Formal opportunities for reflection allow us to pause, look back, and analyze the points we can and should improve upon as we move forward. Great teachers regularly engage in reflection, if our first lesson of the day did not go well, we reflect back on what needs improvement and adjust to ensure that the same mistakes do not happen again. If, as teachers, we use the power of reflection to improve student learning, then it should be important to promote reflection with our students. In this session we will explore how technology can help students in the reflection process. We will look at strategies, apps, and web tools that will assist students in the reflection process, and allow them to grow as learners.
