Social Emotional Learning: Constructing Understanding with Gaming and Design

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Giving students ownership of their learning through the design thinking process, lets the student think about their thinking to create games that develop their understanding of social emotional competencies. Attendees will explore how to use the design process, gamification, technology including 3D printing, Scratch, Makey Makey, Inklewriter, and maker materials to help students dive deep into SEL. Attendees will see student work that illustrates a process with clear learning outcomes and walk away with a structure they can use to apply to their own SEL and technology curriculum.
