Introducing code in the classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Teachers Learning Code (a Canada Learning Code project) is for educators who want to inspire kids to be builders – not just consumers - of technology through coding activities and challenges.

We’ve combined our experiences teaching tens of thousands of youth across Canada to code in to tips and tricks to get started, resources to familiarize yourself with code, plus lots of easy to follow and even easier to implement coding activities to empower and teach the future generation of technologists across Canada. Our goal is to help educators foster an entire generation to use critical thinking, imagination and technology skills to solve problems and build a better future.

In this session, we will discuss tips & tricks and accessible tools that can be used to introduce youth ages 6 to 12 years old to code in a fun, collaborative, and hands-on way, through existing school subjects and curriculum - including those beyond the areas of STEM.

Let's shape how technical education is introduced in schools - together!
